CARTER SHINKARUK, FPHL DEFENSEMAN OF THE YEAR

Binghamton, NYThe Federal Prospects Hockey League today announces its selection for the FPHL Defenseman of The Year. This is An annual award to the defenseman who demonstrates throughout the season the greatest ability at the position.  This selection is from a voting process by (2) representatives from each FPHL member club and then a verification by the FPHL League Staff.

  

The FPHL Congratulates Carter Shinkaruk of the Athens Rock Lobsters as the recipient for  2024-25 FPHL Defenseman of The Year. 


Shinkaruk appeared in all 56 games this season for Athens.  He has recorded 14 goals and 63 assists, for a regular season total of 77 points.   The Athens captain has been a staple on the blue line this season.  He was the leagues top scoring defenseman by 12 points.


“It’s a tremendous honor to receive this award, especially among so many talented and high-caliber players in the league,” said Shinkaruk. “Hockey is the ultimate team sport, and individual success is always a reflection of the collective efforts of the team. This season’s accomplishments would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of my teammates and the support of the coaching staff and organization. I also want to thank the Rock Lobsters fans for their unparalleled support during our inaugural season.”
