FPHL Announces Suspensions

Syracuse, NY (December 14th, 2021) – The Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL) on Tuesday have announced the following suspensions:

All of the following suspensions were a result of players actions from FPHL game #46, 
Port Huron at Carolina on Saturday December 11th.

Port Huron Prowlers Brennan Young


Port Huron Prowlers Brennan Young has been suspended Four (4) games.  Young was assessed a Match Penalty for Slew Footing (under Rule 52 Slew Footing) the Carolina goaltender on the final play of the game.  The Slew Footing Match Penalty comes with an automatic non appealable 4 game suspension.  Young will be eligible to return to the play on Thursday December 30th.

Port Huron Prowlers Nick Williams

Port Huron Prowlers Nick Williams has been suspended Two (2) games.  Williams was assessed a Game Misconduct for his actions at the end of the game under Rule 70 Leaving the Bench Category as well as a Game Misconduct for Fighting After the Original Altercation (Rule 46 Fighting Category).  Each infraction comes with an automatic non appealable 1 game suspension.  Williams will be eligible to return to the team on Saturday December 18th.

Carolina Thunderbirds Tommy Cardinal

Carolina Thunderbirds Tommy Cardinal has been suspended Five (5) games.  Cardinal was assessed a Game Misconduct for Instigating a Fight in the last 5 minutes of regulation (Rule 46 Fighting Category), a Game Misconduct for Fighting After the Original Altercation (Rule 46 Fighting Category) and a Game Misconduct for a Derogatory Slur under Game Misconduct Rule 23.  A Derogatory Slur comes with an automatic non appealable 3 game suspension in the FPHL and the other 2 infractions each come with an automatic non appealable 1 game suspension.  Cardinal will be eligible to return to the team on Saturday January 1st.
