FPHL Announces Suspensions

Syracuse, NY (January 10th, 2022) – The Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL) on Monday have announced the following suspensions:

The following suspensions were a result of players actions from FPHL game #77, 
Columbus at Delaware on Saturday January 8th.

Delaware Thunder David Segal

Delaware Thunder David Segal has been suspended Four (4) games.   Segal was assessed a Major Penalty for Slashing (under Rule 61 Slashing) for a violent two handed slash across the hands and wrists of a Columbus player Jagger Williamson at 14:46 of the 2nd period of the game.  After review of the incident, the league has determined that due to the violent nature and targeting intent of the slash, (under Rule 28, Supplementary Discipline) the major penalty shall be upgraded to a Match penalty. The Slashing Match Penalty comes with an automatic non appealable 4 game suspension. Segal will be eligible to return to play on January 22, 2022
