PAUL JENE NAMED DIRECTOR OF OFFICIATING

Syracuse, NY- The Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL) is very excited and pleased to announce Friday that Paul Jene has been named the new Director of Officiating.

"I'm very excited to be given the opportunity to head a new officiating program for the FPHL. There is a lot of work a head of us.  The league and team owners have made a commitment to the safety of our staff and now we are continuing the building process to put a better quality product on the ice to better represent a professional hockey league.  We have not forgotten the past, but we will definitely be using it to better our future," said Jene.

Jene who has been an FPHL Referee since 2012 and has assisted the league in the past is a welcomed full time addition to the FPHL staff.  Since 2008, Paul has worked his way through the professional ranks by working every level of the USA Hockey Officiating Development Program. He has worked in almost every Junior hockey league in the Midwest up to the USHL.  Paul has also officiated NCAA Division I Men's hockey in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) and NCAA Division III Men's hockey in the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association (MCHA).  In his professional career, Paul has worked in the International Hockey League (IHL), Central Hockey League (CHL), Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL), & the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL). Paul has worked in 5 professional hockey post seasons including 4 Finals. He also helped build staff state side in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) and was a scheduler/supervisor for the league.
