PLAYER SAFETY ANNOUNCES FINES & SUSPENSIONS FOR 11/15/24

From The FPHL Department of Player Safety

Binghamton, NY – The FPHL Department of Player Safety today have announced the following suspensions.

Mississippi Sea Wolves Keller,  SUSPENDED
Mississippi forward Blake Keller has been suspended for One Game as a result from his actions during FPHL Game No. 64 in Baton Rouge on Friday, November 15th.  FPHL Director of Player Safety Dave Jackson stated,
"This was not an overly violent spear but it was the tip of the stick blade to the opponent's groin. Mr. Keller was retaliating for being knocked down and decided to inflict pain on his opponent by delivering a "cup-check" This is an automatic ONE (1) GAME SUSPENSION"

Dashers Head Coach Tesoriero, FINED
Dashers Head Coach AJ Tesoriero has been Fined an undisclosed amount as a result from his unsportsmanlike actions during FPHL Game No. 59 in Watertown, NY on Friday, November 15th.

Dashers forward Nickolai Salov’s Slew-Footing Match penalty from Game No. 59 has been Rescinded, FPHL Director of Player Safety Dave Jackson stated, "I respect the officials having to react in real-time without the ability to review major penalties. This infraction had the criteria of a slew-foot but not the substance of a slew foot. There was no whipping of the leg and no forceful backwards thrust with the upper body. Remember, a slew-foot is an attempt to  injure or deliberate injury. This play did not rise to that level and after review should have been a minor penalty for tripping. I am rescinding the match penalty and there will be no suspension."

The FPHL is a Single-A Minor Professional hockey league operating in its 15th season during 2024-25.
