PLAYER SAFETY ANNOUNCES SUSPENSIONS FOR 1/5/24

From The FPHL Department of Player Safety

Binghamton, NY – The FPHL Department of Player Safety today have announced the following suspensions.

Elmira River Sharks Swanson, SUSPENDED
Elmira forward Jesse Swanson has been suspended for One Game under as a result from his actions during FPHL Game No. 124 in Elmira, NY on Friday, January 5th.  FPHL Director of Player Safety Dave Jackson stated,
“The video only catches the last few seconds of this altercation. Because of this, I'm relying on the well written report and verbal account from the on-ice officials. Mr. Swanson jumped an unwilling player and hit him with three solid haymakers. He then attempted a fourth punch as the linesmen intervened. This is not a mutually agreed upon fight, this is an aggressor. Mr. Swanson will be suspended for ONE (1) GAME."

The FPHL is a Single-A Minor Professional hockey league operating in its 14th season during 2023-24.
