PLAYER SAFETY ANNOUNCES SUSPENSIONS FOR 1/26/24

Binghamton, NY – The FPHL Department of Player Safety today have announced the following suspensions.

Port Huron Prowlers Jones, SUSPENDED
Port Huron defenseman Mitch Jones has been suspended for Two Games as a result from his actions during FPHL Game No. 159 in Elmira, NY on Friday, January 26th.  FPHL Director of Player Safety Dave Jackson stated, “After taking a late bump from the Elmira player, Mr. Jones deliberately hit his opponent in the face with his stick. Fortunately there was no injury on the play. The contact was not overly forceful but was deliberate and malicious. Mr. Jones will be suspended for TWO (2) GAMES."

Watertown Wolves Seaman, SUSPENDED
Watertown forward Dakota Seaman has been suspended for Three Games as a result from his actions during FPHL Game No. 157 in Watertown, NY on Friday, January 19th.  FPHL Director of Player Safety Dave Jackson stated, “Mr. Seaman was skating beside his opponent and attempting to antagonize him. He then delivered a forceful spear to his opponent's groin causing injury. Mr. Seaman was assessed a match penalty on December 16th so this makes him a repeat offender (12 month calendar) and as such, he starts at 2 games and is assessed 50% more for this subsequent infraction. Mr. Seaman will be suspended for THREE (3) GAMES."

The FPHL is a Single-A Minor Professional hockey league operating in its 14th season during 2023-24.
