PLAYER SAFETY ANNOUNCES SUSPENSIONS FOR 1/7/24

From The FPHL Department of Player Safety

Binghamton, NY – The FPHL Department of Player Safety today have announced the following suspensions.

Mississippi Sea Wolves Helland, SUSPENDED
Mississippi forward Lucas Helland has been suspended for One Game as a result from his actions during FPHL Game No. 133 in Biloxi, MS on Sunday, January 7th.  FPHL Director of Player Safety Dave Jackson stated,
“I admit that I'm mildly confused as to the motive for Mr. Helland's actions. His team had just scored and I did not see any conflict between Mr. Helland and his opponent prior to this incident. This was a textbook Aggressor penalty. His opponent did not expect to be jumped and was not a willing combatant. His opponent did not throw any punches despite being hit with several. Mr. Helland will be assessed a ONE (1) Game Suspension for being the Aggressor."

The FPHL is a Single-A Minor Professional hockey league operating in its 14th season during 2023-24.
