FPHL Director of Player Safety Dave Jackson stated, " Mr. Murphy’s delivered an abusive rant towards the referee with approx 10 min remaining in the third period. The referee followed the escalation protocol and ultimately ejected Mr. Murphy. Mr. Murphy is suspended for ONE (1) GAME."
Dashers Hockey Head Coach, Tesoriero Fined
Dashers Head Coach A J Tesoriero has been Fined an undisclosed amount as a result from his unsportsmanlike actions towards the officials during FPHL Game No. 156 in Fraser, MI on Saturday, December 28th.
HC Venom Jesseau, SUSPENDED
Venom Forward Dustin Jesseau has been suspended for Three Games as a result from his actions during FPHL Game No. 152 in Watertown, NY on Saturday, December 28th. FPHL Director of Player Safety Dave Jackson stated, " This is Mr. Jesseau's fourth Game Misconduct for abuse towards the officials in the last 8 months. It is his 3rd game misconduct for threatening to physically harm the official after the game. Mr. Jesseau is suspended for THREE (3) GAMES."
Update: After lengthy discussion and breakdown of multiple videos, the appeal & review process has met a standard to have this suspension reduced. This however, does not excuse Mr. Jesseau and he needs to exercise a greater level of restraint when being told to exit a game. Suspension Reduced from THREE (3) GAMES to ONE (1) GAME and player is under league probation for the next year relating to any threatening language towards an official due to his repeat offender status.
Note: The Match Penalty for Kicking to Columbus River Dragons Brian Dunford from FPHL Game No. 154 in Columbus, GA on Saturday, December 28th has been rescinded by the Director of Player Safety. Dave Jackson stated, "Based on the video and the referee's reports, I do not feel that there was an intentional kick/attempt to injure. Mr. Dunford's opponent took exception to being knocked down and clamped his legs around him, not allowing him to skate away. I feel that Mr. Dunford's actions were simply attempts to break free from his opponent. The match is rescinded and no further discipline will be assessed."
The FPHL is a Single-A Minor Professional hockey league operating in its 15th season during 2024-25.
