PLAYER SAFETY ANNOUNCES SUSPENSIONS FOR 4/6/24

From The FPHL Department of Player Safety

Binghamton, NY – The FPHL Department of Player Safety today have announced the following suspensions.

Danbury Hat Tricks Johnson, SUSPENDED
Danbury forward Kolby Johnson has been suspended for One Game as a result from his actions during FPHL Game No. 293 in Binghamton, NY on Saturday, April 6th.  FPHL Director of Player Safety Dave Jackson stated
, “Mr. Johnson pinched in from the point and elevated his shoulder into his opponent's face who had already gotten rid of the puck. This is an illegal check to the head and Mr. Johnson will be suspended for ONE (1) GAME."

Binghamton Black Bears Olivieri, SUSPENDED
Binghamton forward Donald Olivieri has been suspended for One Game as a result from his actions during FPHL Game No. 293 in Binghamton, NY on Saturday, April 6th.  FPHL Director of Player Safety Dave Jackson stated
, “Mr. Olivieri, shot the puck on net then for some reason, as the D-man made contact with him, he recklessly swung his stick at his opponent striking him in the face/head area. It's a miracle that no injury occurred. Under supplemental discipline, this is a major penalty and a game misconduct. I don't feel it's worthy of a match penalty because it was more reactionary as he was off balance but definitely reckless and careless Mr. Olivieri is suspended for ONE (1) GAME."

The FPHL is a Single-A Minor Professional hockey league operating in its 14th season during 2023-24.
