Alex Basey Returns to Danville

Danville, IL - The Danville Dashers are proud to welcome back defenseman Alex Basey. 

The 6'1", 194 lb native of Oshawa, ON returns to the Dashers for his second year in the FHL. Last season he appeared in 3 games for the Watertown Wolves before being traded to the Dashers. In 23 games for Danville, he recorded 2 points and a -14 rating, while racking up 82 penalty minutes. 

Prior to his professional career, Basey played junior hockey for 5 years in the Greater Metro Jr. A Hockey League (GMHL) for 6 different teams (Toronto Canada Moose, Bradford Rattlers, Bobcaygeon Bucks, Rama Aces, Oshawa Riverkings, Colborne Chiefs, London Lakers, and North York Rangers.) Basey played in 127 games, scoring 14 goals, while adding 69 assists for 83 points, and had a point per game average of 0.65.
