BLACK BEARS DOMINIK TMEJ NAMED FPHL GOALTENDER OF THE YEAR
Binghamton, NY – The Federal Prospects Hockey League today announced its selection for the 2025–26 FPHL Goaltender of the Year Award, presented annually to the goaltender adjudged to be the best at his position.
The league proudly congratulates Dominik Tmej of the Binghamton Black Bears as this season’s recipient.

Tmej served as the primary goaltender in 43 of the team’s 56 games this season, finishing his rookie campaign with an outstanding 28-2-0-1 record. He posted a .932 save percentage, a 1.83 goals-against average, and recorded seven shutouts. Notably, this marks the second consecutive season that a Black Bears net-minder did not suffer back-to-back losses.
The first-year goaltender from Bradenton, Florida, quickly established himself as a standout presence between the pipes for Binghamton. Tmej becomes the second recipient of this award from the Black Bears in the team’s five-year history.
He is also the first goaltender in the FPHL to record a goals-against average below 2.00 since the 2018–19 season, when Christian Pavlas posted a 1.77 GAA.
Now in its 16th season (2025–26), the FPHL continues to highlight top talent across Single-A minor professional hockey.
