Brody Duncan SUSPENDED for the Remainder of the Season

SYRACUSE, NY (January 28, 2020) – The Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL) Office of the Commissioner on Tuesday released the following statement and suspension:

Mentor Ice Breakers - Brody Duncan

Mentors Brody Duncan has been suspended the remaining 25 games of the regular season, Playoffs, and an undisclosed fine as a result of his actions in Game 153, Mentor at Carolina, played on Saturday, January 25th.
Duncan took a slapshot directly into the opposing bench of the Carolina Thunderbirds at the end of regulation inciting a post-game altercation.

After further review and discussion of the incident, the Mentor organization has come to this decision in the best interest of safety for the players, team staff, on-ice officials, & the fans.  We cannot allow a player to act in a manner detrimental to the game and with such reckless disregard.  The FPHL and member organizations strive to continually improve safety, skill, & development and will not tolerate any player crossing the line by putting others around them in danger.

The Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL) is a Single-A Minor Professional Hockey League in its 10th year of operation.
