CAVALIERE NAMED FPHL GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH FOR OCTOBER / NOVEMBER

Binghamton, NY – The Federal Prospect Hockey League announced today that Carolina Thunderbirds goaltender Mario Cavaliere has been selected the Goaltender of the Month for October/November.


Cavaliere appeared in 7 games during the first two months of the season and compiled a record of 5-0-0-2 allowing just 9 goals for a 1.30 GAA making 168 save for a .949 SV%. His shutout games were against Port Huron, Monroe and Columbus. Mario is leading the FPHL in Goals Against Average (1.30), Save Percentage (.949) and Shutout with 3.


The 27-year-old is from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. He attended Brock  University from 2018-20. Mario played in Sweden with Ange IK for the 2021-22 season. He has been a member of the Carolina Thunderbirds since 2022. He was named the FPHL Goalie of the Year for 2023-24.
