Chase Fallis Returning to Thunderbirds
Winston-Salem, NC - The Carolina Thunderbirds are happy to announce the return of forward Chase Fallis for the 2018-19 season.
Fallis, 27, returns to Winston-Salem for his second season with the Thunderbirds. "I'm excited to be back in Winston. I love playing here and the support we get from the fans is amazing" Fallis said. "We should have a strong team this year with a lot of key guys coming back, and I can't wait to get back on the ice with everyone."
Fallis began his professional career last season with the Thunderbirds, registering 24 points (10G-14A) in 35 games. The Calgary, AB native spent his entire junior and college career north of the border. He played for the Okotoks Bisons of the Heritage Junior League (HJHL) for four years, was part of three championship teams, and was named Captain in his final season. Before coming to Carolina, he played for five years at Concordia University of Edmonton.
"Chase is a really solid, good defensive guy" Head Coach Andre Niec said. "He's a team player, a great presence to have in the locker room, and I think with him we're gonna have a big year. I'm happy to have him back."
The Carolina Thunderbirds are proud members of the Federal Hockey League, now in its ninth season. Carolina will be starting its second season of play, looking to build on the success of its inaugural season where the Thunderbirds posted an 87-point season with a record of 25-24-5-2 (W-L-OTW-OTL). The Thunderbirds also set an FHL record with over 65,000 fans through the doors in their first season and six sellout crowds. Season and group tickets are on sale now by calling (336) 774-GOAL(4625).
