COLGAN NAMED FPHL GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH FOR FEBRUARY

Binghamton, NY – The Federal Prospect Hockey League announced today that Columbus River Dragons goaltender Breandan Colgan has been named the Goaltender of the Month for February.


Colgan had a perfect record of 8-0-0-0 with 22 goals against for a 2.673 GAA and 189 saves for a .896 SV% in 8 games, along with one shutout for the month. His best game was the shutout on February 23rd against the Motor City Rockers where he stopped all 22 shots against him. He also had 3 games where he gave up only 1 goal, February 10 against the Mississippi Sea Wolves and February 16 & 17 against the Baton Rouge Zydeco.


The 29-year-old is from Wynnewood. PA. He attended West Chester University (ECHA) from 2016-20. He began his professional career in 2021-22 with the Watertown Wolves (FPHL). He currently is in his 2nd year with Columbus River Dragons. Playing for West Chester he was on the 2019 ECHA Championship team and was voted the 2019 ECHA Playoff MVP. He also was named to the ECHA All Tournament Team (2018-19). Last season (2022-23) Colgan was named the FPHL Goalie of the Year.
