COLGAN NAMED FPHL ROOKIE OF THE MONTH FOR OCTOBER / NOVEMBER

Syracuse, NY – The Federal Prospect Hockey League announced today that

Columbus River Dragons goaltender Breandan Colgan has been named the Rookie

of the Month for October / November.


Colgan has been in 7 games during the early part of the season with a 5-0-0-0

record. He currently leads the league with a 2.25 GAA. Breandan is 2nd in SV%

(.919) and 3rd in wins. He is also one of three goaltenders that have recorded a

shutout. His shutout came on November 13th against the Watertown Wolves

before the home Columbus fans when he made 30 saves. Breandan almost had

another shutout on November 25th when he only allowed one goal and made 28

saves.


The 27- year-old is from Wynnewood, PA and began his professional career last

season with the Watertown Wolves. He attended 4 years at West Chester

University (ECHA). Breandan was a member of the Golden Rams ECHA

Championship (2019) team.


Colgan’s mother Carol was a member of the Canadian Olympic Rowing team.
