Danville Completes Four Player Trade With Elmira

Danville, IL - On Sunday morning, the Danville Dashers completed a four player trade with the Elmira Enforcers. The Dashers traded Glen Patterson (F) in exchange for Dylan Farrell-Reny (D), Liam Little (F), and Marvin Powell (F).

Farrell-Reny is a native of South Portland, ME and will be returning to the FHL after appearing in 2 games last season with the North Shore Knights. Before making his professional debut, he played for Central Maine Community College (ACHA II) and three years of junior hockey.

Little will be making his pro debut this season with the Dashers after competing in the GMHL (Greater Metro Jr. A Hockey League) with the North York Renegades the last two seasons. Over his 65-game career in the GMHL, he tallied 10 goals, 33 assists, and 43 points, averaging 0.66 points per game.

Powell signed a PTO with Elmira during the offseason to play with former Dashers Head Coach Brent Clarke. He is familiar with the Dashers organization, as he came to Danville last year after the North Shore Knights ceased operations. He scored 2 goals, and had 6 assists for 8 points in 38 games last season. “Great character guy; brings a great atmosphere to our locker room” said Head Coach Paul MacLean.

The Dashers will open their 2018 training camp on October 15th. The camp is open to the public and the schedule can be viewed here.

The Danville Dashers begin their quest for a second FHL Championship on October 26th when they take on the expansion Elmira Enforcers at the David S. Palmer Arena for their Home Opener.
