Dashers Perfect on Home Ice

Danville, IL - The Danville Dashers improve to 5-0 at home and 5-1-0-1 on the season with a 6-3 victory over the Watertown Wolves on Hot Wheels Night. 

The Wolves got off to a fast start on Saturday night with Brandon Wahlin opening the scoring at 9:24 of the first, assisted by Jansen and Gjurich. The Dashers would get on the board with two goals by Stephen Gaul and Ryan Marker. 

Dustin Henning would nab a power play goal in the second period that was redirected by a Wolves player in front of Karpinksi at the 9:50 mark. The Dashers would go 2 for 3 on the man advantage in the game. Watertown would get the deficit to one goal, as Anton Lennartsson would sneak one by Aaron Taylor on the power play, assisted by Jansen and Gjurich. The Dashers would regain the two goal advantage as Justin Brausen and Liam Little would add to the lead late in the frame. 

Third period action would see Brausen would snipe just 25 seconds in the frame on a power play. Watertown would have a few great chances in the period, but could only muster one more goal at the 17:00 minute mark from Gavin Yates. 

Aaron Talyor would face 44 shots and stop 41, while Karpinski would see 47 shots and stop 41.
