Enforcers Break FPHL Single Season Attendance Record

Elmira, NY - The Elmira Enforcers are pleased to announce that they have chased down and beaten the 2017-18 Carolina Thunderbirds single season attendance record for the FPHL of 66,204. With eight home games remaining, the Enforcers will look to set the new bar for any teams chasing that mark.

Both teams have both had record setting attendance this season, and heading into a weekend in which they will face off in Elmira, the Enforcers trail in total attendance to the Thunderbirds by a mere 2,471 despite having played five fewer games at home. As the Enforcers enter the final stretch of the season, they continue to trend upward as they chase down home ice advantage in the post season. Carolina has five home games left and the race looks to be tight all the way down to the wire.

For reference, during the final five seasons of the Elmira Jackals (ECHL) at First Arena, the average attendance danced between 2,300 and 2,785. This year’s Enforcers' attendance has averaged a stunning 3,189 fans per game.

Team owner Robbie Nichols commented on this milestone: “We knew this was a hockey community when we took on the project of bringing a hockey team back to Elmira. The attendance numbers are proof of that. Thank you to all of our great sponsors, season ticket holders, and fans!”
