Enforcers Make Huge Trade

Elmira, NY - The Elmira Enforcers added more pieces to their playoff puzzle as they completed two more trades, acquiring Anton Lennartsson and last year’s Commissioner's Cup MVP Gavin Yates from the Watertown Wolves in exchange for future considerations.

Lennartsson is a 6'4", 220 lb forward who brings not only size, but a power play presence to the Enforcers. In 29 games this season he has scored 13 goals with 16 assists for 29 total points, and currently sits at 2nd in the league with 8 power play goals. Lennartsson was also a key component to the Wolves championship run last season, providing 7 points on their way to the Commissioner's Cup.

Yates is the defending Commissioner's Cup Playoffs MVP,  having scored 10 points in the 2018 postseason, along with two game winning goals. He has played 28 games with the Wolves, scoring 20 goals with 21 assists for 41 total points. The Plymouth, MA native has been successful throughout both years in the Federal Hockey League and will now be pursuing a title with the Enforcers.

Head Coach Brent Clarke and team owner Robbie Nichols both expect these two players to add depth to the roster in the Playoffs. “We aren’t going into the postseason as one of those teams who are just happy to be there. We are in it to win it and we believe these players help us to do just that.” commented Nichols.

Both players will be in the lineup on Friday night when the Enforcers take on the Carolina Thunderbirds to kick off a three-game series at First Arena. Tickets are on sale now at the box office, Tickets.com, or by calling (607) 734-PUCK (7825).
