FORD NAMED FPHL PLAYER OF THE MONTH FOR FEBRUARY
Syracuse, NY – The Federal Prospect Hockey League announced today that
Carolina Thunderbirds forward Kalib (Gus) Ford has been named the Player of the
Month for February.
Ford played in 10 games for the Thunderbirds during the month and recorded 6
goals with 13 assists for 19 points and continues to lead the league in scoring. He
had 6 multi-point games with his best games being February 4th against the
Watertown Wolves where he had a goal and 2 assists. Gus’ best game in the
month was on February 15th in Mississippi, where he recorded 2 goals and 2
assists versus the Sea Wolves.
The 27- year-old is from Tillsonburg, Ontario, Canada is spending his second
season with the Thunderbirds. Ford in his rookie year with Carolina set the
Thunderbirds single season record for goals (43) and total points (84). He
attended Northland College (WIAC) from 2016-20. Gus was named to the All-
Rookie team (2016-17).
