FPHL Announces Suspensions


Syracuse, NY (April 10th, 2021) – The Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL) on Saturday have announced the following suspensions:

Port Huron Prowlers - David Nippard

Port Huron Prowlers David Nippard has been suspended Two games as a result of his actions in FPHL game #38, Elmira at Port Huron on Friday April 9th.  Nippard was assessed Major penalty for Charging under Rule 42 (Charging Category).  As the hit resulted in an injury to the head of the Elmira player, an Automatic Game Misconduct was assessed under Rule 20. 

Nippard initiated a late hit on Elmira's Johnny Ruiz and was assessed a Charging Major (Rule 42.3), along with an Automatic Game Misconduct (Rule 42.5).  The avoidable hit was delivered 2 seconds after Ruiz dumped the puck around the boards after he entered the Prowlers zone.  Ruiz face impacted Nippards back with so much force that Ruiz was removed from the ice on a stretcher and taken to a local area hospital.

Nippard will miss the next 2 games and will be eligible to return to the team on Saturday April 17th.

Columbus River Dragons - Chase Fallis

Columbus River Dragons Chase Fallis has bee suspended One game as a result of his actions in FPHL game #39, Carolina at Columbus on Friday April 9th. Fallis was assessed a Game Misconduct for Continuing or Attempting to Continue a Fight (Fighting Category)

Fallis will miss the next game and will be eligible to return to play on Sunday April 11th.
