FPHL Completes Pee Dee Player Dispersal Draft
The Federal Prospects Hockey League completed a randomized, two-round dispersal draft on Friday, July 10, to address the League-recognized rights of players listed with the involuntarily suspended Pee Dee affiliate.
The Board of Governors approved the random draft order to provide active affiliates with an equal opportunity to select players while creating a timely path for those who wish to continue their careers in the FPHL. Any Pee Dee-listed player not selected after the second round became a free agent for FPHL purposes immediately following the draft.

This action was limited to the administration of player rights under FPHL rules and does not determine any ongoing private legal or contractual matter involving Pee Dee.
The Board has also placed this subject on the agenda for its winter meeting, where it will consider a permanent bylaw process for players affected when an affiliate is involuntarily suspended and cannot resolve its status before planning for the following season begins.
The League’s goal is straightforward: players who want to continue competing in the FPHL should have a clear and fair path to do so without being left in uncertainty because of an affiliate’s unresolved status.
