GARRETT MILAN, FPHL MOST VALUABLE PLAYER
Binghamton, NY – The Federal Prospects Hockey League today announces its selection for the FPHL Most Valuable Player. An annual award to the player adjudged to be the all around Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the FPHL. This selection is from a voting process by (2) representatives from each FPHL member club and then a verification by the FPHL League Staff.
The FPHL Congratulates Garrett Milan of the Athens Rock Lobsters as the recipient for 2024-25 FPHL Most Valuable Player (MVP).
Milan appeared in all 56 games this season for Athens. He has recorded 37 goals and 64 assists, for a regular season total of 101 points. He was the only FPHL player to reach the 100 point mark this season.
“Being 2025 MVP is definitely a huge honor, especially coming to Athens and doing it here in our inaugural season,” said Milan. “Last off-season was tough going through surgery and rehabbing that injury all summer, so I wasn’t even sure I’d be playing this season. When Coach Martinson called and explained what his vision was for the team and what my role would be, it got me excited about hockey again. It was a no-brainer to come here and play. Coach Martinson has turned a first-year franchise into a winning culture already, and with team success comes personal success. The quality of players here has helped me throughout the season, so I have to give a lot of credit to them as well. This team has made hockey fun again. Seeing hard work pay off, especially when people doubt you, makes this award even more meaningful. But from day one, our goal has been to win a playoff championship, and that hasn’t changed.”
The FPHL is a Single-A Minor Professional hockey league operating in its 15th season during 2024-25
