Gavin Yates Returns to Watertown

Watertown, NY - The Watertown Wolves are proud to announce the return of Commissioner's Cup Playoffs MVP and fan favorite Gavin Yates.

The 5'10", 161 lb native of Plymouth, MA spent one season with SUNY-Plattsburgh (SUNYAC) in 2016-17 after playing 5 years of junior hockey. He made his professional debut last season, where in 29 games, he tallied 23 goals and 12 assists to help propel the Wolves into the postseason. Yates elevated his game in the playoffs, scoring 6 goals and 4 assists in 6 games.

Head Coach Trevor Karasiewicz said: "We are thrilled to have Yates back. He was a big game player for us in the playoffs, scoring two overtime goals in crucial games. He will be looked at this year as a go to player in key situations. We expect great things from him this season."
