HUNTER NAMED FPHL ROOKIE OF THE MONTH FOR FEBRUARY

Binghamton, NY – The Federal Prospect Hockey League announced today that Columbus River Dragons forward Ryan Hunter has been named the Rookie of the Month for February.


Hunter played in 9 games and had 9 goals and 10 assists for 19 points. His 19 points for the month moved him up from 40th in league scoring to 17th. He has three games where he scored 4 points in a game. The first was on February 10th against the Mississippi sea Wolves where he had a goal and 3 assists. His next four point game came 6 days later, February 16th versus Baton Rouge Zydeco getting 2 goals and 2 assists. Ryan’s final 4 point game in the month was against the Motor City Rockers on February 23rd where again he had 2 goals and 2 assists.


The 22- year-old is from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Hunter is spending his second year with the Columbus River Dragons. Ryan played junior hockey with Cochrane Crunch (NOJHL) in 2019-20 and Red Lake Miners (SIJHL) during the 2021-22 season.
