Binghamton, NY – The Federal Prospect Hockey League announced today that Monroe Moccasins forward Jared Christy has been named the Rookie of the Month for January.

Christy appeared in 8 games and recorded 5 goals, 9 assists for 14 points during January. His best two games were on January 10th against the Baton Rouge Zydeco with 1 goal and 2 assists for 3 points and then 6 days later he repeated the same feat against the Biloxi Breakers (2-1-3).

The 27-year-old is from Costa Mesa, California. He started his professional career in 2021-23 with the Iowa Heartlanders (ECHL) after spending 4 years at the University of New England.

The FPHL is a Single-A Minor Professional hockey league operating in its 16th season during 2025-26.
