Jasinsky Called Up to Wichita

Winston-Salem, NC - The Carolina Thunderbirds are proud to announce that forward Ryan Jasinsky has been called up to the Wichita Thunder of the ECHL. 

Jasinsky has played in three games for Carolina this season and racked up 48 penalty minutes so far. He joins the ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers who are in the middle of a weekend series against the Allen Americans. This is Jasinsky's second stint in the ECHL, since playing for the Norfolk Admirals in 2015-2016.

In a corresponding move the Thunderbirds have signed Winston-Salem native Chase Lewis to the active roster. Lewis played for Carolina last year, appearing in 15 games and registered 6 points (1G-5A). Lewis will be wearing the number 6 during this stint with the Thunderbirds.


The Carolina Thunderbirds are proud members of the Federal Hockey League, now in its ninth season. The Thunderbirds are in their second season of play, looking to build on the success of their inaugural season where the team posted an 87-point season with a record of 25-24-5-2 (W-L-OTW-OTL).
