KIRKBY NAMED FPHL PLAYER OF THE MONTH FOR OCTOBER / NOVEMBER

Binghamton, NY – The Federal Prospect Hockey League announced today that Binghamton Black Bears forward Tyson Kirkby has been selected the Player of the Month for October/November.


Kirkby played in 15 games for the Black Bears during the first two months and is leading the league in scoring with 12 goals, 15 assists for 27 points. His best games occurred on October 18th versus Hudson Valley with a 4-point night (1-3-4) and November 8th against the Dashers with a Hat Trick and an assist for 4 points. He also had three games where he accumulated 3 points.  



The 27-year-old is a native of Prescott, Ontario, Canada. He attended Oswego State University from 2018-22. Tyson has been a member of the Black Bears since 2021 and scored the Black Bears first playoff goal. Last season was a very successful year for Tyson after scoring 80 points during the regular season. Kirkby then added another 11 points during the playoffs to help the Black Bears win the 2024 FPHL Commissioner’s Cup. For his outstanding season, Kirkby was named a FPHL 1st Team All Star.
