KOCH NAMED FPHL ROOKIE OF THE MONTH FOR JANUARY

Binghamton, NY – The Federal Prospect Hockey League announced today that Mississippi Sea Wolves forward Hugo Koch has been named the Rookie of the Month for January.


Koch played in 11 games and had 6 goals and 9 assists for 15 points. His 15 points for the month moved him up one spot to 4th in league scoring with a total of 46 points. His outstanding performances for the month occurred the weekend of January 6 & 7 on home ice. In the January 6 game Hugo had one goal and 3 assists for 4 points versus Baton Rouge Zydeco. He followed up the next day against the Wytheville Bobcats with 2 goals and an assist for 3 points.


The 20- year-old is from Gothenburg, Sweden. Koch is beginning his first season in the FPHL with the Mississippi Sea Wolves. He spent last season in Sweden playing for Stenungsund HF.
