LIARAKOS NAMED FPHL PLAYER OF THE MONTH FOR OCTOBER / NOVEMBER

Binghamton, NY – The Federal Prospect Hockey League announced today that Mississippi Sea Wolves forward Yianni Liarakos has been named the Player of the Month for October/ November.


Liarakos has played in all 12 Sea Wolves games this season and has scored 10 goals along with 20 assists for 30 points, which leads the league in scoring. He had a big weekend, November 10-11, against the Blue Ridge Bobcats having scored 3 goals and 6 assists. Other outstanding games were on November 3rd versus Baton Rouge (3 goals and 2 assists) and on October 27th against Port Huron (4 assists).


The 26- year-old is from Toronto, Ontario, Canada and is a veteran of 9 seasons in the FPHL. Along with playing for the Sea Wolves he is also an assistant coach.

He played junior hockey for the Blind River Beavers (NOJHL) during the 2016-17 season and led all 132 CJHL teams with 11 game winning goals. For that outstanding season with Blind River, Liarakos was named a First Team NOJHL All -Star. During his FPHL career he has played for the Port Huron Prowlers, Watertown Wolves, Delaware Thunder and the Elmira Mammoth.
