Mahfouz Named Player of the Month

Syracuse, NY - The Federal Hockey League announced today that Elmira Enforcers forward Ahmed Mahfouz has been named the Player of the Month for January.

Mahfouz played in 8 games for the Enforcers and scored 8 goals with 12 assists for 20 points. His best games for the month were on January 11th in Watertown and the 19th in Port Huron, when he scored 4 points in both contests. On the 11th he had a goal and 3 assists and on the 19th he had a hat trick and assist. Mahfouz’s 20-point production for the month moved him from 15th place in league scoring to his current 4th place. He was one of many key players on the Enforcers that helped Elmira climb into 2nd place in the standings during January. 

The 29 year old native of Ottawa, ON started his professional career in 2010-11. Mahfouz is a veteran of the FHL who has played in every season beginning with the Akwesasne Warriors (2010-12). Since then he has played for the Dayton Demonz (2012-15), Port Huron Prowlers (2015-17), Cornwall Nationals (2017-18), and Danville Dashers (2017-18). He is the league's all-time leader in goals, assists, and points. Mahfouz has been on 3 Championship teams and has won numerous league awards in his career.
