Matt Graham Returns to Prowlers in Bigger Role

Port Huron, MI - The Port Huron Prowlers are happy to announce Matt Graham will be returning to wear #51 this upcoming season. Graham, heading into his 6th season of professional hockey, will also be taking on more responsibility with being named Player-Assistant Coach for the Prowlers.

When asked how Head Coach Pace made his choice on his assistant coach he said: “It just happened that Matt was looking to stay in town this summer, and it couldn’t have been a better fit. Matt is more than qualified for the position, both on and off the ice. He shows up with a great attitude every day and I’m looking forward to having him push the guys this year with a solid work ethic.”

Graham earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management from Becker College in Massachusetts and has years of professional hockey experience in North America and Europe, making him a great choice to help lead the team.

The Rancho Cucamonga, CA native is feeling at home working for the Prowlers. “It’s been fun and exciting so far this summer, and I know it’s going to be a challenge with more responsibility on my shoulders this year. We’re all in this together and we have a great group of core guys returning, which is going to help make my job easier. I’m excited to get the season started.”

Graham is coming off a career high in points, with 66 in 49 games for the Prowlers in the 2017-18 season. With an average of over a point per game in his professional and college careers, Graham will be one of the go-to guys on the Prowlers offense this season. The team is confident he will be one of the league’s top penalty killers, along with having a presence on the team’s power play.
