PLAYER SAFETY ANNOUNCES SUSPENSIONS FOR 11/3/23

From The FPHL Department of Player Safety

Binghamton, NY – The FPHL Department of Player Safety announced today that both Carolina forward Petr Panacek & Watertown defenseman Dustin Henning have each been suspended for One game.

Carolina forward Petr Panacek has been suspended for One game as a result from his actions during FPHL Game No. 25 in Wytheville, VA on Friday, November 3rd.  FPHL Director of Player Safety Dave Jackson stated, “This incident occurs at the buzzer. The Blue Ridge player appeared to want no part of any fight. Mr. Panacek engaged the Blue Ridge player and delivered several punches to an unwilling and disengaged player. This is an aggressor penalty and Mr. Panacek will be suspended for ONE (1) Game”

Watertown defenseman Dustin Henning has been suspended for One game as a result from his actions during FPHL Game No. 27 in Watertown, NY on Friday, November 3rd.  FPHL Director of Player Safety Dave Jackson stated, "After reviewing the video, I do not see an elbow but I do see direct shoulder contact to the head. I do not feel that Mr. Henning deliberately targeted the head but the onus is on the hitting player to avoid head contact. The major for elbowing is being changed to a match penalty for illegal check to the head. Mr. Henning will be suspended for ONE (1) GAME

The FPHL is a Single-A Minor Professional hockey league operating in its 14th season during 2023-24.
