PLAYER SAFETY ANNOUNCES SUSPENSIONS FOR 3/20/25
Binghamton, NY – The FPHL Department of Player Safety today have announced the following suspensions.
Athens Rock Lobsters Rosenzweig, SUSPENDED
Athens goaltender Josh Rosenzweig has been suspended for Two (2) Games as a result from his actions during FPHL Game No. 330 in Athens, GA on Thursday, March 20th. FPHL Director of Player Safety Dave Jackson stated, "After a request for review, supplemental discipline has been assessed to Josh Rosenzweig. Mr. Rosenzweig was upset about being contacted in his crease after the whistle. Mr. Rosenzweig elected to respond with multiple punches to his opponent's head, using his blocker glove. This is specifically an intent to injure as described in the rulebook under match penalties. The blocker is considered a weapon when using it to punish an opponent. Mr. Rosenzweig is suspended for TWO (2) GAMES, Match Penalty, Attempt to Injure."
The FPHL is a Single-A Minor Professional hockey league operating in its 15th season during 2024-25.
