PLAYER SAFETY ANNOUNCES WEEK 10 SUSPENSIONS REPORT
The FPHL Department of Player Safety has announced the following suspensions from FPHL Week 10.
12/13/25
With just over 2 minutes remaining in a game that his team was winning 12-1, Mr. Bellant took offense to being assessed a 10 min misconduct, along with others during a scrum. Mr. Bellant added several levels to his general misconduct by threatening the official with bodily harm using his stick and then doubling down using a slur that has been banned from the FPHL. He shall be suspended ONE (1) GAME for the threatening gesture and TWO (2) GAMES under the FPHL Lewd Gesture and Slurs policy
Biloxi Breakers - Josh Rosenzweig SUSPENDED
For some unknown reason, Mr. Rosenzweig decided to jump an unsuspecting and unwilling opponent during a media timeout. He jumped him and delivered several punches before the linesmen could restrain him. He also struggled with the linesmen for several minutes before leaving the ice surface. Mr. Rosenzweig is suspended for ONE (1) GAME
Binghamton Black Bears - Austin D'Orazia SUSPENDED
Mr. D'Orozio elbowed his opponent in the head causing injury. I do not believe that he intentionally hit and injured his opponent but I believe that he took a poor angle of approach to make a check and when he realized that he was going to get beat and miss his opponent, he reached with his elbow in a careless, reckless and dangerous manner. He got no body, it was all head. This elbowing designation is interchangeable with 'illegal check to the head'. His opponent stayed down for awhile, played one more shift and then did not return to the game. Mr. D'Orozio is suspended for TWO (2) GAMES
NOTE: 12/16/25 Binghamton Appealed the suspension. Appeal Result: Binghamton presented a strong case that Mr. D'Orozio did not seriously injure his opponent, who continued to play at least 5 more shifts over a 9 minute period and deliver body checks. Historical precedence on major penalties without an obvious injury have been one game suspensions for first-time offenders. There have been 8 Majors + GM without injury over the past two seasons where each player has received a one game suspension. It's important to note that a Match Penalty was not assessed on this play and the officials did not feel it was an intentional attempt to injure. I take a measure of responsibility for my original assessment as I fast forwarded through the rest of the period and did not notice that the player continued to skate a regular shift. In order to remain consistent and transparent, I am reducing his two game suspension to ONE (1) GAME
Pee Dee Icecats - Dominiks Marcinkevics SUSPENDED
Mr. Marcinkevics committed a dangerous and reckless play by shoving his opponent into the boards head first. This was not a case of poor timing or his opponent turning just prior to being hit. I will acknowledge that the defenseman fanned on his initial attempt to rim the puck and had to reach back for the puck to make a second attempt. This might have affected Mr. Marcinkevecs timing but the fact remains that his opponent's numbers were visible well prior to the hit. The onus is on the player delivering a hit, not to violently project a defenseless opponent into the boards. His opponent was injured on the play and fortunately he was released from hospital later in the evening. Mr. Marcinkevecs is suspended for FOUR (4) GAMES
Supplemental Discipline - Dominiks Marcinkevics: After scoring a goal in the 1st period, Mr. Marcinkevics skated in front of his opponent's bench discplaying a lewd gesture to every player as he skated by. This is a lewd gesture per the FPHL Executive Board Policy and warrants a TWO (2) GAME SUSPENSION.
The FPHL is a Single-A Minor Professional hockey league operating in its 16th season during 2025-26
