PLAYER SAFETY ANNOUNCES WEEK 11 SUSPENSIONS REPORT

The FPHL Department of Player Safety has announced the following suspensions from FPHL Week 11.

12/19/25

Athens Rock Lobsters - Danil Glukharev  SUSPENDED
Mr. Glukharev took exception for some unknown reason and started throwing punches at an unwilling and unsuspecting opponent. He delivered at least 5 punches and continued attempting to punch as they were down on the ice. He shall be suspended for ONE (1) GAME

Biloxi Breakers - AJ Schlepp  SUSPENDED
Mr. Schlepp was engaged along the boards with his opponent and delivered a forceful sucker-punch to his opponent's cheek, knocking him to the ice. This is dangerous and dirty. Mr. Schlepp is suspended for TWO (2) GAMES

Monroe Moccasins - Tucker Scantlebury  SUSPENDED
As the period came to an end and the horn clearly sounded, Mr. Scantlebury grabbed the puck and launched a slapshot at his opponent's net from the blueline. It was obvious to everyone that the period had ended, this was not a continuation of a play at the horn. He hit an unsuspecting opponent in the head, knocking him to the ice and injuring him. This is inexcusable behavior. Someone can be seriously injured with this lack of respect for one's opponents and teammates. Mr. Scantlebury is suspended for ONE (1) GAME

NOTE: 12/20/25 Monroe formally appealed this suspension. The original video on their game feed has the shot occurring 4-5 secs after expiry of play. It appeared to be egregious until an accurate replay of this event was provided. This is something that needs to be fixed and synched with their Sporfie Feed. They were able to provide a house feed with audio that confirms that the shot was actually taken right before the horn sounded. Mr. Scantlebury will have his suspension rescinded. I would like to add that all teams need to do better to provide multiple camera angles and accurate score clocks on their game feeds. I do feel that the misconduct assessed to Mr. Scantlebury was justified because in my opinion, was aware of the impending buzzer.

Monroe Moccasins  - Michael Hagen Moe  SUSPENDED
Mr. Haggen-Moe took a poor angle of approach when attempting to hit his opponent and ended up 'picking' his head. He got no shoulder or body and his opponent's head absorbed all the force of his hit. This is a textbook match penalty and he will be suspended for TWO (2) GAMES

Port Huron Prowlers  - Matt Graham  SUSPENDED
Mr. Graham traveled a considerable distance in pursuit of the puck carrier. He made contact with his opponent's head using his elbow. This was a predatory hit and he will be suspended for ONE (1) GAME

NOTE: 12/20/25  Port Huron formally appealed this suspension. They were adamant that zero head contact had occurred and that only a boarding minor should have applied. They were able to provide additional video that had not been available initially and it proves conclusively that their player did not elbow his opponent in the head. Because of new evidence, I am rescinding the one game suspension and no further discipline shall be applied

12/20/25

Watertown Wolves - Egor Filipov  SUSPENDED
Mr. Filipov delivered multiple punches to an unwilling opponent. He should have realized that his opponent was unwilling and shown some restraint but instead decided to attempt to punish him. Mr. Filipov is suspended for ONE (1) GAME

Columbus River Dragons - Kevin Szabad  SUSPENDED
Mr. Szabad checked his opponent into the boards. I dont feel that this was malicious but it was certainly reckless. His opponent was in the process of shooting and his numbers were visible the entire time. Fortunately, a serious injury did not occur but the onus is on the player making the hit, to let up when his opponent is in a vulnerable position facing the boards. Mr. Szabad will be suspended for ONE (1) GAME under Supplementary Discipline.

Blue Ridge Bobcats - Vojtech Zemlicka  SUSPENDED
Mr. Zemlicka took exception with the referee's call and voiced his displeasure. Unfortunately he crossed the line and was penalized with a bench minor. This incensed him further and he earned himself a Game Misconduct. Mr. Zemlicka has been fined an undisclosed amount.

Blue Ridge Bobcats - Filip Hlavac  SUSPENDED
After being scored upon, Mr. Hlavac took the puck and indiscriminately flipped the puck into the crowd. This occurred simultaneously with the lights being lowered for a goal celebration. This was not witnessed by the on-ice officials otherwise he would have been assessed a 2 min minor plus an automatic Game Misconduct per FPHL League Rules. The referees were made aware of this action by security after the game and filed a written report.  There was video evidence showing Mr. Hlavac shooting the puck out of the playing area after the goal.   Mr. Hlavac is automatically suspended for ONE (1) GAME per FPHL League RULES

Monroe Moccasins - Tucker Scantlebury  SUSPENDED
Mr. Scantlebury jumped his opponent and threw 3 punches at an unwilling opponent. This is an aggressor and he will be suspended for ONE (1) GAME

NOTE: Watertown Wolves Quinn Chevers was assessed a Game Misconduct for Abuse of Officials. This penalty was nothing more than verbal abuse that escalated and the player was ejected, missing most of the 3rd period. We discussed how, going forward that a 2 min minor be assessed followed by a 10 min misconduct for consistency purposes. Had that protocol been followed then there would have been no need for the ejection. This should have been classified as verbal abuse, not Abuse of Officials.
