PLAYER SAFETY ANNOUNCES WEEK 12 SUSPENSIONS REPORT
The FPHL Department of Player Safety has announced the following suspensions from FPHL Week 12.
12/26/25
Twin Cities - John Buttitta SUSPENDED
Twin City captain, John Buttitta did not like the referee's penalty explanation and responded with a lewd and inappropriate gesture at the official. This was witnessed by multiple officials and he was assessed a minor penalty for abuse of officials. The referees are aware that they should have assessed an additional game misconduct because this falls under the FPHL Slurs and Lewd Gestures rule. Mr. Buttitta is automatically suspended for TWO (2) GAMES. A subsequent offense will elicit a four game suspension and a third occurrence calls for a one year suspension
Indiana Sentinels - Everett Thompson FINED
In the 3rd period after an alleged missed minor penalty, Mr. Thompson got into it with the referee. He grew increasingly frustrated and his abusive behavior crossed the line earning himself a game misconduct. He has been fined an undisclosed amount.

12/27/25
Blue Ridge Bobcats - Denis Radchenko SUSPENDED
Mr. Radchenko waded into a scrum at the benches and delivered two punches to an opposing player. One of the punches, appeared to accidentally hit the linesman, knocking him to the ice. The linesman then grabbed and restrained the player who then placed his hands on the linesman's helmet. No injury occurred but the action was deliberate and if not for the quick thinking and actions of his coach who witnessed what was happening and restrained his player from the bench, it could have been much worse. Mr. Radchenko is suspended for TWO (2) GAMES
Watertown Wolves - Jake Schultz SUSPENDED
A fan was taunting Mr. Schultz verbally so he responded using a slur that is forbidden in the FPHL per the Executive Board Slur and Lewd Gesture Policy. For use of this is unacceptable language (especially when directed at a fan) Mr. Schultz is suspended for TWO (2) GAMES and any subsequent incident under this policy calls for a 4 game suspension. A third transgression will result in a one year suspension.
The FPHL is a Single-A Minor Professional hockey league operating in its 16th season during 2025-26
