PLAYER SAFETY ANNOUNCES WEEK 16 SUSPENSIONS REPORT
The FPHL Department of Player Safety has announced the following suspensions from FPHL Week 16.
1/23/26
Twin Cities Thunderbirds - Justin Schnapp SUSPENDED
According to the on-ice officials report, while sitting in the penalty box, Mr. Schnapp yelled at a pre-teen, female spectator in the stands. This caused issues with the fans and was also overheard by the entire off-ice crew in the penalty box. The words used were extremely inappropriate and derogatory. It is incumbent, once again that the coaches throughout the league remind their players that this type of behavior will not be tolerated. These actions fall on the player himself and do not represent the high standards set by the coaches and ownership of Twin City. Mr. Schnapp is suspended for TWO (2) GAMES under the FPHL Executive Board, Slur and Lewd Gesture policy. A second offense within 12 months will result in a four game suspension and a third would elicit a one year suspension.

1/24/26
Baton Rouge Zydeco - Heath Ford SUSPENDED
Mr. Ford jumped on top of a defenseless player lying in the crease and delivered two cross checks. The first one hit the torso and the second one hit his opponent in the neck/chin. He then lost his stick and delivered several punches to an opponent who was defenseless. Mr. Ford is suspended for ONE (1) GAME
Danbury Hat Tricks - Zachary Hauseman SUSPENDED
Mr. Hauseman engaged in a mutual agreed upon fight. As both players hit the ice and the linesmen intervened, Mr. Hausemen delivered several punches directed at his defenseless opponent. This is not an aggressor penalty as he did not inflict punishment on his opponent but he did defy the linesmen and created a dangerous situation for everyone involved. He deserved a Game Misconduct for Continuing an Altercation and will be suspended for ONE (1) GAME
Twin Cities Thunderbirds - Kaleb Malanson SUSPENDED
Mr. Melanson targeted an opponent who had no desire to fight. He jumped him and landed on top of him while they hit the ice. He then delivered approx 6 punches, designed to punish an unwilling opponent. This is Mr. Melanson's second Aggressor penalty this season (10-18-2025) and as a result he will be suspended for TWO (2) GAMES
Blue Ridge Bobcats - Dustin Jessaeu SUSPENDED
At the conclusion of the game, the referees assessed 10 min misconducts to a player on each team. After reviewing game film, I realized that Mr. Jesseau's initial behavior was not witnessed by either referee. Both misconducts were assessed for the two player's actions towards each other near center ice. Prior to this happening, Mr. Jesseau took exception to being knocked down, leading to the winning goal. He got to his feet, stared down the referee who was on the goal line and forcefully and deliberately, with two hands, launched his stick into the glass from 10-15' away. This is dangerous, disrespectful and is abuse of the officials. Players cannot be fined, so being assessed a penalty post-game does absolutely nothing to address or modify unwanted behavior. Mr. Jesseau is suspended for ONE (1) GAME under Supplemental Discipline- Unsportsmanlike Conduct
Port Huron Prowlers - Regginald Millette SUSPENDED
Mr. Millette jumped his opponent who was unwilling to fight. He delivered at least a half dozen punches designed to punish. This is an aggressor and since it's his second offense (11-26-2025) he will be suspended for TWO (2) GAMES
Indiana Sentinels - Ryan Glazer SUSPENDED
Mr. Glazer did not want to fight his opponent and ended up in a defenseless position on the ice. I can appreciate that Mr. Glazer felt threatened but the linesmen had already started to enter the altercation and he had several other options to protect himself other than kicking his opponent. Skate blades are extremely sharp and dangerous and should never be used as a viable option to defend oneself. His opponent was kicked in the groin and the wrist. His opponent sustained a serious cut to his wrist and could have sustained an even more serious injury to his groin area. One of the linesmen also had a skate blade deflect off his leg. Kicking an opponent is considered a match penalty for intent to injure. Mr. Glazer kicked his opponent twice and will receive Four (4) Games for each offense. He will be suspended for a total of EIGHT (8) GAMES
