PLAYER SAFETY ANNOUNCES WEEK 19 SUSPENSIONS REPORT
The FPHL Department of Player Safety has announced the following suspensions from FPHL Week 19.

Binghamton Black Bears - CJ Stubbs SUSPENDED
Mr. Stubbs took exception to having a minor penalty called on him. As the linesman was escorting him to the box he yelled at him and used language that violates the FPHL Board of Governors Slur and Lewd Gesture Policy. He will be suspended for two games. Any subsequent violations will result in a four game suspension followed by a one year suspension.
Binghamton Black Bears - Gavin Yates SUSPENDED
This is the second time in less than a year that Mr. Yates has violated The FPHL Board of Governors Slur and Lewd Gesture Policy using unacceptable language. On March 8,2025 and was suspended for TWO (2) GAMES under this policy. Since this is his second violation, he will be suspended for FOUR (4) GAMES and any subsequent violation prior to Mar 8 2026 will earn him a one year suspension per FPHL Rules.
Binghamton Black Bears - Head Coach Brant Sherwood FINED
Mr. Sherwood was ejected from the game due to verbal abuse and unsportsmanlike conduct behavior towards the on ice officials. He has been fined an undisclosed amount for his actions.

Monroe Moccasins - Tucker Scantlebury SUSPENDED
At the conclusion of overtime, Mr. Scantlebury skated towards the referee and verbally abused the official yelling threats at him. This is unacceptable and Mr. Scantlebury will be suspended for one game.
Monroe Moccasins - Jay Croop FINED & SUSPENDED
Mr. Croop was extremely displeased at the completion of overtime. He broke several sticks in protest and threw them onto the ice. He also verbally abused the officials from the players bench and that abuse continued down the hallway into their locker room area where he could be heard outside the referees room door banging more sticks and verbally abusing them for several minutes. The abuse from the hallway was captured on video as well. Mr. Croop was fined and suspended in October for similar actions but had his one game suspension stayed and was put on probation. The suspension from October will now have to be served in addition To the new suspension and his fines will be increased since he is a repeat offender. Mr. Croop earns a one game suspension for his actions and because he is a repeat offender it means his suspension increases to two games in addition to the game not served in October. He is suspended for three games. Mr. Croop was fined in October for throwing sticks onto the ice as well as verbal abuse and since this is a second violation. He has been fined an undisclosed amount for his actions.
The FPHL is a Single-A Minor Professional hockey league operating in its 16th season during 2025-26
