PLAYER SAFETY ANNOUNCES WEEK 23 SUSPENSIONS REPORT
The FPHL Department of Player Safety has announced the following fines/suspensions from Week 23
3/14/26
Baton Rouge Zydeco - Matthew Bazarin SUSPENDED
Mr. Bazarin was involved in a fight on the ice. As both players tumbled to the ice, Mr. Bazarin physically resisted the linesmen, contacting them in the head and putting everyone in danger. He is suspended for ONE (1) GAME for continuing an altercation.
Indiana Sentinels - Seth Bacon SUSPENDED
As the period came to a conclusion, an altercation took place in front of Indiana's bench. Mr. Bacon came off the bench during the altercation and became embroiled in the melee. The buzzer had sounded but players must remain on the bench if an altercation is taking place. No fighting majors were assessed but Mr. Bacon had no business leaving the bench and becoming centrally involved in this altercation. He is fortunate that the period had ended and that an actual fight did not occur because of him leaving the bench or he would be facing a six game suspension. Mr. Bacon is suspended for ONE (1) GAME
Watertown Wolves - Quinn Cheevers SUSPENDED
Mr. Chevers was on his player's bench when an opponent was checked into the boards in front of him. Mr. Chevers stood up and delivered a forearm punch to the back of his opponent's head. He then proceeded to engage with the same player and ended up on the ice where he knocked down an unwilling opponent with a punch. He then proceeded to get involved with another fracas when he should not have been on the ice. Mr. Chevers is suspended for TWO (2) Games for fighting with an opponent while off the ice. He is suspended for ONE (1) GAME for being an Aggressor for the one-punch knockdown and he's suspended ONE (1) GAME for getting involved in an altercation while being on the ice illegally.
Binghamton Black Bears - Mac Jensen SUSPENDED
After Binghamton's second goal, Mr. Jensen turned to the crowd in the upper deck displaying an inappropriate gesture towards the fans. Mr. Jensen is suspended for TWO GAMES (2) GAMES under the Executive Board Slur and Lewd Gesture policy

3/15/26
Baton Rouge Zydeco - Heath Ford SUSPENDED
Mr. Ford took exception to an innocuous, legal bodycheck and immediately targeted his opponent's face with an elbow. This was not a hockey play gone bad, where the elbow accidently rides up. This was a targeted blow directly to the facial area. Mr. Ford is suspended for TWO (2) GAMES
Columbus River Dragons - Skate Skalde SUSPENDED
Mr. Skalde targeted his opponent for no reason. This was not an organic fight that happened to take place because of a bad hit etc. but appeared to be Mr. Skalde being frustrated and deciding to take out his frustrations on his opponent with 2:30 left in the game. He was ejected and as he was leaving the ice he displayed an inappropriate gesture towards the crowd. Mr. Skalde is suspended for ONE (1) GAME for being the instigator in the last 5 min of the game and he is suspended for TWO (2) GAMES under the Executive Board Slur and Lewd Gesture Policy
Watertown Wolves - Quinn Cheevers ADDITIONAL SUSPENION
Watertown Wolves - Justin Coachman HC Fined
At the completion of the game, Mr. Coachman attempted to enter the opponents bench area to confront the opposing coaches. Mr. Chevers, who is presently suspended for four games joined Mr. Coachman in his endeavor. Security had to physically push both men back towards their own locker room and additional security needed to be summoned. This is never acceptable behavior. Mr. Chevers is being assessed a ONE (1) GAME SUSPENSION to be served immediately after he completes his four game suspension and Mr. Coachman is fined an undisclosed amount for his unsportsmanlike actions.
