PLAYER SAFETY ANNOUNCES WEEK 7 FINES & SUSPENSIONS

The FPHL Department of Player Safety has announced the following fines & suspensions.

Danbury Hat Tricks - Vadim Frolov  SUSPENDED
Mr. Frolov went after his opponent in response to him tripping a teammate. He hit him in the side of the face with a cross-check. This is an attempt to injure and Mr. Frolov will be suspended for TWO (2) GAMES

Blue Ridge Bobcats - Justin Daly  SUSPENDED
Port Huron Prowlers - Bryan Parsons  SUSPENDED
Mr. Daly and Mr. Parsons engaged in a fight while another altercation was ongoing. Although the original altercation was only roughing minors, their fight was completely unnecessary. Once a linesman was finally able to intervene and separate them, they went back at each other and fought again. They resisted the linesmen and were ejected for second fight, same stoppage and for continuing an altercation. Both players are suspended for ONE (1) GAME

Biloxi Breakers - Yaroslav Yevdokimov  SUSPENDED
After the whistle in a scrum, Mr. Yevdokimov decided to two-hand his opponent in the waist area. This was a dangerous and undisciplined act, fortunately it did not target the upper-body and there was no injury. Mr. Yevdokimov will be suspended for ONE (1) GAME

Baton Rouge Zydeco - Chad Bailey HC  Fined
At the end of the game , Baton Rouge head coach headed back to his bench after handshakes and proceeded to unleash a verbal tirade on the officials. It rose to a level where a game misconduct was assessed for verbal abuse. After being assessed a game misconduct, he then proceeded to throw sticks onto the ice. This earned him a second game misconduct. Mr. Bailey has been fined an undisclosed amount for 2 counts of verbal abuse and unsportsmanlike conduct.

NOTE - Blue Ridge Bobcats Major penalty that was assessed to Seth Bacon at the conclusion of the game has been rescinded.  The officiating staff was able to supply additional video of the post game events and it has been determined that Mr. Bacons actions were not to the level of an assessment of a penalty.  I applaud their initiative to remedy an overreaction and ultimately get the call correct. I am thereby rescinding the ONE (1) GAME SUSPENSION to Mr. Bacon.
