By DJ Palm

Port Huron, MI - The Port Huron Prowlers' offense was on full display Friday night, throwing 51 shots at the net and coasting to a 7-2 victory over the Watertown Wolves.

Matt Robertson broke the ice 61 seconds into the game, followed by Matyas Kasek and Austin Fetterly netting goals to take a 3-0 lead at the first intermission. Port Huron outshot Watertown.

The Prowlers picked up right where they left in the middle frame, scoring four more unanswered goals. A Zach Zulkanycz power play goal and Matt Robertson's 2nd goal of the night put Port Huron up 5-0 to end Jared Rutledge's night between the pipes for the Wolves. Blake Scott would replace him, only to let in back-to-back goals scored by Dalton Jay. The Prowlers held a 7-0 lead at the second intermission.

The Wolves finally found a way to get on the scoreboard in the final period. Both goals came from former Prowler Yianni Liarakos, but the comeback was too little too late, as Port Huron snagged 3 points in the standings with a 7-2 victory.

Both team' face off again tomorrow with a puck drop at 6:00 PM. The winner of Saturday's game will have sole possession of 3rd place going into next weekend's games.
