Port Huron, MI -  A 51 save night for Cory Simons with an offensive explosion in the third period gave the Port Huron Prowlers a win and a double digit lead over the Danville Dashers for the final playoff spot in the FHL.

Matt Robertson opened the scoring at 13:40 of the first period, and that's how the score would remain all the way until the third period.

Fred Hein netted his 5th goal of the weekend to tie the game at 6:06 into the third. Three minutes later, Danville gave up two goals 14 seconds apart from Alex Johnson and Dalton Jay. Port Huron wouldn't look back, and netted two more from Matt Graham and Johnson's 2nd of the night to seal the deal and secure a 5-1 victory.

Alex Johnson and Matt Robertson both recorded a 4 point night for the Prowlers. Dalton Jay's goal and two assists gave him a 10 point weekend. Cory Simons made 98 saves in both his starts to secure a series win.

The Dashers will take a road trip to Elmira for a Wednesday game with the Enforcers on their way to Watertown for a weekend series with the Wolves. Port Huron will be on the road to Mentor for Friday and Saturday before coming back home on Sunday to host the Ice Breakers.
