Thunderbirds Put up Double Digits on Prowlers
By DJ Palm
Port Huron, MI - A Chase Fallis hat trick and a five-point night for Jiri Pargac was more than enough to put the Carolina Thunderbirds past the Port Huron Prowlers on Saturday night.
Carolina opened the game strong and scored nine unanswered goals into the middle frame before the Prowlers could muster one on the scoreboard from Matt Robertson. However, the Thunderbirds would add one more before the final period to make it 10-1. After 40 minutes, Carolina outshot the Port Huron, 44-20.
Jonathon Juliano would get a second goal for the Prowlers at the 3:42 mark of the third period, but there would be no coming back in a game that got out of hand too quick and too early. A Chase Fallis power play goal gave him a hat trick and the final scoreline of 11-2.
Carolina heads to Danville for a match with the Dashers to cap off the weekend, and Port Huron stays home to welcome the Watertown Wolves in the final regular season home game at McMorran. Puck drop is scheduled for 3:00 PM and the live broadcast can be seen on ebw.tv.
