Thunderbirds Sign Jasinsky to PTO
Winston-Salem, NC - The Carolina Thunderbirds are happy to announce the addition of Ryan Jasinsky to their roster on a professional try-out basis.
Jasinsky appeared in two games last season with the Thunderbirds, racking up 44 penalty minutes. He began his hockey career with the Victoriaville Tigres of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), and most recently played for the Norfolk Admirals of the ECHL.
Head Coach Andre Niec commented on the signing: "We're excited to add Jazz [Jasinsky]. He was a great addition when he played last year and we know he'll bring something good to the ice when he's out there. Everyone in the building should keep their heads up when he's on the ice."
Jasinsky stands at 6'2" and 205 lbs and is a native of Midlothian, VA. He will be in the lineup starting tonight (Nov. 24) vs. the Mentor Ice Breakers.
The Carolina Thunderbirds are proud members of the Federal Hockey League, now in its ninth season. The Thunderbirds are in their second season of play, looking to build on the success of their inaugural season where the team posted an 87-point season with a record of 25-24-5-2 (W-L-OTW-OTL).
