Timofeyev Named Rookie of the Month

Syracuse, NY - The Federal Hockey League announced today that Elmira Enforcers forward Stepan Timofeyev has been named the Rookie of the Month for February. 

Timofeyev played in 10 games for the Enforcers and scored 4 goals with 18 assists for 22 points. His best games for the month were on February 1st when he had 5 assists against Mentor and February 17th when he registered 4 assists in Watertown. Timofeyev went from 26th place in league scoring to 11th place during the month. 

The 23 year native of St Petersburg, Russia started his professional career last season with the Port Huron Prowlers. Prior to that, he played four years of junior hockey in Russia and the Greater Metro Jr A Hockey League (GMHL). Timofeyev won the Russell Cup with the Tottenham Steam in 2015-16 and was named GMHL MVP of the Year in 2016-17 while playing for the Bradford Rattlers.
