Wolves add Toughness to blue line

Ryan Devine joins Wolves for upcoming season!

The Watertown Wolves are happy to announce the addition of yet another big name player to the roster for the upcoming season. Ryan Devine, who was a part of the old Privateers team in 2013/2014 has decided to come back and join the Wolves. Last season, Devine played in the SPHL and split his time between Quad City and Macon, playing a total of 34 games in the Covid-shortened season.

A versatile player, Ryan can be used both as a defender and a forward, and is also a player who can be used in a lot of different situations. According to Coach Brent Clarke, he sees Ryan as “a big presence on the ice, with a very tough style of play”. For those who like to see fights, Devine is not shy in that aspect of his game either and has become a somewhat prolific fighter throughout his career.

“I am excited to return to Watertown to be a part of the Wolves for this upcoming season – I really like what I’ve heard about the direction of the team, and obviously I am very excited to join a hockey club that has developed such a winning mentality”, said Ryan Devine.

Ryan is expected to join his teammates in time for training camp, which starts on January 25th, before a 3 game “showcase” with Elmira taking place that following weekend, before the regular season finally starts on February 4th.
